It is a mix bag of emotions because while stories like ‘Bombay to Bangalore’ and ‘A Mother’s Love’ will leave you with goosebumps, ‘Sticky Bottoms’ and “Foot in the Mouth’ will leave you roaring with laughter.

About the author: Sudha Murthy is an Indian teacher who teaches engineering and is the author of various Kannada and English books. She is the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and is also a member of the public health care initiatives of the Gates Foundation. She has participated in rural development efforts, founded several orphanages , supported the movement to provide all Karnataka government schools with library facilities and computers , and established 'The Murthy Classical Library of India' at the Harvard University.

About the book: The author gives the readers a glimpse into her life and leaves them with thoughts they find themselves pondering on even after a long time. As she rightly puts it in the book “I learnt lessons no book could teach me and no Internet site could ever show me, because I had access to real people. Very few people have this privilege.”

My favourite story in this collection is the very last one, ‘Life’s Secret Lessons’, in which Sudha Murty shares the most important eight lessons she has learnt in her life.

One of my all time favourites, this a wonderful journey which you would want to experience again and again. This book will leave an impression on your mind and may even change the way you think for the better.
