Hasn't 2022 been a total rollercoaster?
2022 was the year in which all of us moved out and about into the real world, after being held captive in our homes because of the pandemic. Initially it was scary, meeting people, going to places, doing all that we hadn't done for the last two years. But it was a good kind of scary, it was thrilling for all of us.
We finally travelled, and admired the beauty of everything around us, having developed a new-found sense of wonder. As they say, we don't value what we have until it is gone, and now, we are definitely more grateful for the wonders we get to witness!
I read a lot of wonderful, wonderful books, including (but not limited to) The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Looking for Alaska by John Green, One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus and Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberly, which were all amazing. Notable series and movies I liked were The Good Doctor, The Secrets of Saqqara’s Tomb, Manifest, Jersey, among others.
Of course, any year is incomplete without music. The best album that was released this year, in my opinion, was Midnights by Taylor Swift. The top tracks from the same, for me, were Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, You’re on your Own Kid and The Great War, in no particular order. Songs by other artists, that I fell in love with this year, were Train Wreck by James Arthur, Keep Your Head Up Princess by Anson Seabra and Brave by Sara Bareilles.

This year, I experienced my first outstation trip with my friends, to Jim-Corbett and Nainital. It was exciting, and probably one of the highlights of the year. With Virat Kohli finally coming out of his century drought, with two magnificent centuries and Lionel Messi lifting the FIFA World Cup, 2022 was a special year for sure!
Through the labyrinth that 2022 was, all of us had ups and downs, and lost and found ourselves. We learnt, we loved, we laughed, and most importantly, we lived. All the achievements and glittery memories aside, we survived another year, together. And that is something we can all be grateful for.
So, 2022, thank you for the memories.
2023, we are ready for you ❤️.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 💖🥳. May 2023 bring peace and positivity for all of us ❤🤞🏻✨.
