Don't Let Exam Stress Get You Down!

All of us are familiar with the stress, anxiety and butterflies in our stomach examinations bring along. We start getting nervous weeks before exams actually start, and often worry and overthink. So, what can we do to stop being so stressed out? How can we go from distress to de-stress? Here are a few tips and tricks that work for me:


1. The first is Goal Setting: We should have clear goals, not in terms of marks, but in terms of preparation. We can make a to-do-list. Planning our day and timetable in advance, will make sure that we don’t get overwhelmed at the last moment.


2. Secondly, we should start early and have a balanced diet. Meditating and getting some exercise would keep us calm and relaxed.


3. The third step is to visualize our exam going just the way we would want it to and listening to the sounds around us mindfully. As they say, positive mind, positive vibes, positive life.


At the end, I would just like to say, we are not competing with anyone else- we are just competing with ourselves. Worrying won’t help us, studying will. We should just do our best and leave no stone unturned in the preparation. As long as we give our 100%, the results, good or bad, do not matter. Hold the vision, trust the process.
