“Happy is the man who lives by his hobby”-Anonymous
All of us know that it is difficult to take time out for pursuing our hobbies and interests from our daily schedules. But, during this phase of lockdown, we have been given an opportunity to dig deep into our hidden talent to find our passion; to find what our heart truly beats for.
It is very important for all of us to spare some time for a hobby which gives us creative satisfaction. A hobby, be it singing, dancing, writing, painting, cooking or anything else, gives us immense pleasure and acts as a stress buster. It gives us a positive outlook towards challenges and in the long run makes our life more meaningful.
Often, we give the excuse of being too busy to take time out for ourselves. We, without realizing, choose to make our days monotonous and boring. This often leads to lack of productivity and enthusiasm. With no time to introspect and think, we just chase our goals and don’t realize where real happiness lies.
We should not just run after our goals blindly, and should spare time for hobbies. As the great poet W.H. Davies has rightly said, “A poor life this is if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare”. Leaving no time for leisure because of being occupied in worldly affairs makes life dull.
Alongwith taking time out for existing hobbies, we should also try to find new ones. Anything we do which heals the wounds in our hearts and makes time fly by is our passion. All of us are interested in one activity or the other, but are not aware of it. It is this activity that is the greatest treasure which we must discover.
All we need to do is to accept our imperfections, be who we truly are and go on an exciting journey of self-discovery.
Good Job.
