Imagination Creates Reality

Imagination is stronger than knowledge. Dreams are more powerful than facts. Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you 'will' what you imagine, and at last, you create what you 'will'.

Here is a short story emphasizing on the importance of reading, writing and imagination...

*Shreya is sitting and writing in a diary. Her friend Kabir comes in*

Kabir: Hi Shreya! What are you doing?

Shreya: Hi Kabir! I just read a book which has inspired me to write a story. Would you like to join me?

Kabir: No. I find writing stories to be very boring. I mean, what is the use of living in an imaginary world?

*Shanaya is a fictional character who comes out of a book*

Shanaya: I’ll tell you. Hi, I’m Shanaya, the protagonist of Shreya’s story…

Kabir: Wow! So, Shreya has created you?

Shanaya: Yes! Shreya has created me. She gets to decide what happens to me, how I feel, how I react. If she wants, she can take me to the outer space, or to the depths of an ocean, or on a snowy summit… There is no end to the possibilities actually!

Shreya: Which is why writing a story makes us more imaginative and creative. There is no end to what I can do with this pen in my hand. You know, they say a pen is mightier than a sword.

Shanaya: Definitely. You may end a life with a sword, but with a pen, you can create a life with endless possibilities.

Kabir: Wow! Even I will read and write stories from now onwards.
