I am a mosaic, formed from pieces from all around Parts of myself in people, books and experiences I found I gathered bits from here, traits and values from there and put them all together I continue to look for shinier pieces, stop I will never

Which is why I say, I don’t change, I simply just grow Sometimes I fight hard against the tide, sometimes, I let go I don’t want to settle, with every breath to evolve I try I’m undergoing metamorphosis, today I’m a caterpillar, tomorrow, I’ll be a butterfly

We are all mosaics, we are like clothes we ever-so-gently sew Carefully choosing threads, moving needles to construct ourselves in a sense pure and true And as we move ahead, picking pieces from smiles and tears We make ourselves beautiful mosaics, with no weaknesses and no fears
