The Moon will Always be There 🌙

I look up to the flawless stars, twinkling in the night sky

They, with their elegant ways, never fail to catch my eye

I notice the Moon, with a smile on its perfectly imperfect face

It gives me a sense of comfort, and puts me in my happy place

It sits by my bedside, and watches over me all night

The Moon dispels the darkness, making the dull night bright

It keeps waxing and waning, telling me things are not forever the same

It whispers, ‘Good times are followed by bad times and then good times again.’

I know whatever I may go through, I’ll ultimately be fine

For the Moon will always be there, with its smile and shine

I’ll live with this confidence, and it’ll reflect in my eyes

And every night I’ll look up to the Moon where my true happiness lies
