I Sat by My Window

When I sat by my window, looking at days pass by

I saw summer turn into winter and the Sun became shy

I could see the ground that was covered with snow

And the Earth which seemed to have a beautiful glow

I saw young children, cheerfully having a snow fight

And elders, who were looking for warmth and sunlight

Joyful and beautiful was the atmosphere

Negativity or sorrow were just not there

I saw and learnt that every season was important

And that each one brought along a sense of fulfilment

As I sat by window, as happy as could be

I realized that all changes are meant to be lived in glee
