Gratitude to Our Gurus

Our world went topsy-turvy, everything stopped when we went into lockdown

But still, our teachers never let learning stop, and made a smile out of every frown

The transition from physical classrooms to virtual ones for us was not at all tough

For our Gurus, even from a distance, held our hands and guided us through everything rough

I’m sure they miss their blackboards, red pens and patting us on the back

But still, now armed with their laptops, they ensure for learning nothing we lack

Even online, they don’t just teach chapters, but for life give us lessons

They always stand by us like a brick and tell us to embrace our imperfections

Dear teachers, we thank you for all that for us you do

We are blessed to be under you kind umbrella where you never let us feel blue

We have no words for our feelings, they remain unexpressed no matter how much

we say

So, I would just like to wish my teachers a Very Happy Teachers Day!
