Isn't it just the most beautiful thing In the world

When you realize you're handling something

Better than your older self would?

When you smile at the words That would've once made you cry

When it would easy to fall into old patterns But still, everyday, your best you try

When you manage to hold it together And not break down When you learn how to Wear your scars like a crown

When you learn to trust your gut

And take things slow

When you don't ignore red flags And learn to simply let go

When you don't really overthink And begin stressing less When you surrender to the universe

And love life's beautiful mess

I know I have a long way to go But I'm still proud When I realize I'm handling something Better than my older self would
