She wonders what they say when they whisper

Do they quietly badmouth her?

Do they think she’s too loud, too much?

They’re friendly, but can them she trust?

She knows she shouldn’t care, but she can’t help it

Should she try to change, just a little bit? But there’s something she doesn’t know

It's always uncomfortable, hard, when you begin to grow

And through all this turmoil, she couldn’t guess

She was whole, complete- just a beautiful mess
