Listening to the world, your life's a mess

'Coz certain numbers are necessary for happiness

It doesn't really matter how skilled you are

'Coz you need to score every time to go far

Slog right now and enjoy later, they always tell you

But this is a rat-race, moments to pause are few

There's a right age by when you should have it all

They've made a life plan, get, set, go, don't stall

That's when I put my headphones on and play some music

Stop listening to the world and see some magic

Listening to my heart, it's all perfectly okay

This is my life, I'm living it my way

Just cancelling the noise and listening to me

Finding what my version of perfect will be

'Coz getting back in the driver's seat is what matters

Going on a long drive, seeing what life has to offer
